Terms & Conditions for European Deliveries
We are now taking orders from select European countries. Delivery of these order could take longer than before due to the additional checks at the UK Border.
European deliveries are only accepted on the basis that customer agreeing to pay any additional taxes, duties or fees if requested by their local Customs authority. Most parcels delivered without additional fees. If your local Customs requests extra payment we will not pay such fees and the end customer need to pay the fees on delivery. We will not offer refunds or accept return of your order. Please read more information below or ask if in doubt.
BREXIT AND DELIVERIES TO THE EUROPEAN UNION (THE EU):
UK has left the EU; this means there is a new trade deal is operational between the UK and EU. All new deliveries from the UK to the EU has to follow certain new rules and regulations. This does apply to any orders placed to be delivered to any EU countries. All our orders are fulfilled from the UK. Where you are ordering from outside the UK Mainland, to the EU and Northern Ireland, your order delivery will be passing through the UK border control and Customs. As a result, your order may be subject to additional duties / taxes at the time of customs clearance.
All orders are delivered to the EU require to collect VAT at the time of placing the order inline with Import One Stop Shop (IOSS). We will work with our IOSS intermediary to settle this VAT charges with the relevant EU authorities. Ceylon Supermart is a trading name of Valence World Limited, which is registered with the Swedish Tax Agency for the IOSS scheme.
However, there may be additional duties applicable to the good you purchase from us, you as our customer are responsible to settle these duties and taxes with the clearing agents/couriers. Your parcel(s) may not be releases until such additional taxes/duties are paid in full. Any import duties charged on the orders delivered to you must be paid by you, the customer. Customs in the local authority may contact you to verify information or seeking additional information in order to release your parcel for onward delivery to you. It is the customers (your) responsibility to work with their local authorities and the Customs in order to have their parcels released & delivered on time and without delays by paying the necessary taxes and duties on time.
We are unable to hold any responsibility for any delayed parcels and damages caused due to delays during customs clearance.
Orders placed during the week will be dispatched the following Monday to allow the maximum transit window so the parcels are delivered without getting stuck in a warehouse over the weekend.
